Babysitting

Guess what I have been up to lately? That's right, none other than babysitting for a kamp family (kamp as in Kanakuk). This summer, Ben & I are not working at kamp due to our martial status. I still wanted just an ounce of kamp though, so I am officially a babysitter for a week!

Yesterday I went on a walk with the youngest kiddo & here are some pics of why I still love kamp.

Memorial Weekend

Ben & I (minus a little sickness from me) just got back from a GREAT memorial weekend with his Mom's side of the family. We ate a lot of great food, played fun games, & had great conversations. A highlight from our weekend was a boat ride to Ben's grandpa Boyd's childhood home. Here are some pictures from my phone of our adventure!

The land of the Arkansas Razorbacks!

That's right, we are moving to FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS this fall! We are so excited for this next phase of our lives together. We already have an apartment picked out & we are anxious to move in this August!

We FINALLY will have our own place!

a ranch wedding!

 We had the greatest time at Chelsea & Cambre's wedding this past weekend. Cambre was Ben's freshman roommate & a good friend of Ben's all throughout college. Cambre was an usher in our wedding, so it was fun being apart of his wedding.

The wedding was at a friend's ranch & was so beautiful! The weather was a little testy, but so worth it. Here is Ben the Cameraman's view during the wedding. I LOVE the weeping willow in the background. SO pretty.

 Chelsea also used the idea of a heritage wall. I love the way hers turned out! It was so sweet that all of her grandparents are still married & still living.

another weekend at the lake

Well, we had another weekend at the lake. This weekend was unique in that we have literally been planning it since December. We went with two great couple friends: Sam & Vance (& their little one, Caleb), & Madison & Evan. It was such a great weekend, full of great food, sweet conversations, & timeless memories. Thanks friends for a great weekend!

It is such a blessing to have sweet girlfriends who are wives. We had the greatest conversations together & I treasure Sam & Madison in our "wives-club". They are always an encouragement to me whenever we hang out.

Working Out

I LOVE summer.

I have been trying to get back in the grove of working out since it's so nice outside & cuz my bod is getting old, jk. I love being active but I  regretfully have been really lazy for... a while :(

So now, with all the free time I have had, my excuses are gone. I love running, & my latest favorite is chessy workout videos like TAE BO! I keep trying to talk Ben into letting me buy the Zumba dvd's, but they are pretty pricey.

Love my new asics I got for (dont die...) $7.00. They were on sale 90%, it was unreal!!

Strawberry Banana Smoothie

Look what I made!
When Ben & I were grocery shopping yesterday, the fruit section really caught my eye. Fruit reminds me so much of Thailand. I lately have been craving exotic thai fruits, but America's fruits will have to do.
This smoothie was unusually refreshing & tasty. I'm hoping to get more creative in my smoothie making endeavors... Maybe ill have to look online for some fun recipes. 
Any suggestions?

Happy Mothers Day Mom!
Even though I an separated from my Mother today, I still am celebrating her. My Mom is so great, & for those of you who have met her, you know what I'm talking about. My Mom not only is outgoing, fun, & the life of the party, she is also kind, loving, & selfless. Yesterday Ben & I had some had time together & I started talking about how much I love my Mom (& Dad). It was so fun to share with Ben about the love that my Mom has for all of us girls. She truly is the greatest, & I can't wait to be a Mom (someday im the future) who is as amazing as she is!

The Yard Sale Store

I just got back from a visit to "the Yard Sale Store" where I found some very random, but cool things! The sweet old ladies who own the shop told me that their store is great because you can shop there no matter the weather! I hope that someday when I am their age, I am as precious as they are :)

So... As to my purchases. First, I found a really fun frame that we can hopefully put a wedding picture in. I also found an old hershey chocolate tin can similar to one that my Mom had when I was young! I love it! Lastly, I had to get a video tape of "Waterworld". This past weekend I had such a desire to watch this old school movie & joked about it all weekend. Ironically it was on tv the last night but we only caught the second half! So glad the Yard Sale Store had it!! :)

Well, the past two weeks my time at Ben's parents house has been filled with much r.e.l.a.x.i.n.g.! It's been so great to catch my breath, organize my life, read, & spend time with Ben's family.

Anyone else a fan of celery & peanut butter? I am currently sitting in the sun & reading... I love this!
